A Little More About Me

I’m a Life Coach on a mission to help my clients find their power and tap into their resiliency. I’m passionate about helping my clients develop thoughts and actions that empower them to bounce forward, stronger and happier, to a beautiful new chapter in their life!

It can be overwhelming to focus on what you need, versus what you want in life. As a coach, I approach your hurdles from a supportive and non-judgement space, so you can reach your Highest Potential.

Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.

A Little Off-Course

After my divorce, from the outside, I looked like I had it all together. Internally, I was swarming with anxiety and the swirling thoughts were out of control. For a long time, I would tell others, “I’m fine.” But if I was being honest with myself, I was off-course, seeking direction and asking a lot of questions.

Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, my career evolved around service. I made a great living, but never felt fulfilled. I thought my purpose was to advise people on what was best for them. After all, that was how I was raised. I was told what to do and what to think. I never questioned this until I recognized the fault in this way of thinking. Why was I listening to people tell me, what was best for me!!!

A bend in the road
is not the end of the road…
Unless you fail to make the turn.

– Helen Keller

Making the Turn

The minute I began questioning my purpose, was the minute I empowered myself and started finding Ruth! I found direction and courage by listening to various life coach podcasts and writing blogs. It was at this juncture, the lightning bolt struck and I recognized my purpose and my calling. I wanted to empower and serve people to help them lead more fulfilling lives. There began my road to becoming a Life Coach.

The day after I chose my coaching program, tragedy struck my family. I received the call no person can ever prepare for, my father had Covid and was extremely ill. Sadly, my father passed away as I was making my journey to Indiana. The devastating news continued, when my mother was also diagnosed with Covid. She joined my father four days later.

The hole in my heart was huge. But in the midst of all the sadness, my path to becoming a Life Coach was sealed. The loss of two of the most important people in my life, made me realize that life is fleeting. Sinking into despair and wallowing in my grief was not an option. I needed to be strong and resilient for my family and myself.

Staying the Course

Through all of the trauma and heart break, realization struck. I was stronger and more resilient than I gave myself credit. I was able to bounce back in the face of adversity and be present for my family.

With this recognition, I realized the importance of mindset, self-empowerment, resilience and being present AND I wanted to help others discover theirs.
